"Yo-Yo Test"

Isn't this "yo-yo" term seems to be interesting?  first time when I heard this word, first thing came to my mind was ourYo Yo Honey Singh!!!

Finally, we have some "yo-yo" effect in our post this time.

But the question arises that, "What is this yo-yo test all about?"

"Yo-Yo test" is actually a fitness test, which involves accelerating, short back-and-forth running. This tests a player's speed, acceleration, strength, and stamina. The benchmark of the fitness test is set at a minimum 16.1 by the Team India management, it ranks very low in comparison to other playing nations in world cricket. Even arch-rivals Pakistan, whose players are not quite popular for their athleticism, have set a high score. England and New Zealand lead at the top with a score of 19.

Nowadays, players are playing very much cricket due to the emergence and demand for T20 & ODI cricket. If someone wants to survive on a cricket pitch for a long, they have to perform we…

Indian Team squad for World Cup 2019 (Expected)

Here we are going to look on an expected squad of the Indian cricket team for the next year's cricket world cup in England.

OPENERS:-The opening has never been an issue for the Indian team especially in a shorter form the game. A lot of opening options are there in an Indian team currently. But their first choice opening pair will be Rohit Sharma & Shikhar Dhawan. Everyone knows what they did in 2013 & 2017. Their record in England and ICC tournaments are exceptional. As a backup KL Rahul will be there. He can also bat in the middle order and play a role of a floater, which provides a kind of balance in the side.

MIDDLE-ORDER:-The middle order is creating some problems on regular basis for the team India. India have two greatest batsmen of all time Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni in their lineups. But for other 2-3 spots, a lot of players like Shreyas Iyer, Dinesh Kartik, Kedar Jadhav, Suresh Raina and Manish Pandey are trying to find a spot in the middle-order.Shreyas Iyer has pl…

Afghanistan's defeat :- A lesson for their lifetime

A huge achievement for Afghanistan, as they made their debut in the format of cricket where you have to go through the real "Test". From a war-torn country to here, is really commendable. As far as the game is concerned, their first outing in the longest format of the game was forgettable one as they were thrashed by an innings & 262 runs in just 2 days by the world no.1 test side, India.

After this defeat, Afghanistan will surely improve their game in the longer format. Now they know,"How tough test cricket is ?" especially if you are playing against such a big team, India. The first day Vijay & Dhawan scored tons & some brilliant finger spin by Ashwin-Jadeja on another day totally outplayed Afghanistan in the game.

Before match lot of experts and fans were confident and talking about Rashid and Mujeeb. Some people were even saying that this pair will overshadow the best spin duo Ashwin-Jadeja in this match. But they forgot the magic of this spin duo, th…

Afghanistan Cricket :- Journey Towards Glory

Afghanistan will be remembered forever in the history of cricket. The reason behind it is their hard work, determination, and belief to fight against terrorism with bat and bowl instead of weapons. Afghan youngsters are looking towards cricket as a hope of better life.

How they started their Journey? The Afghanistan cricket board was formed in 1995 and joined ICC in 2001 as an associate member. For next 7 to 8 years they played local tournaments in Pakistan & England and some divisional cricket. After some good cricket Afghanistan got a one-day status in 2009. They played their first one-day international against Scotland. They continued their good form and played their first T20 international in 2010 against Ireland. They got very good success in the shorter form of the game. As a result, ICC rewarded them with test status in 2018.

Where they are now? Today Afghanistan has a winning percentage of 66.6% & 52.08% in T20 & one-day international respectively, and also earned a…
