Presence of "Asian countries in cricket" is expanding continuously

Today a lot of north and south American countries like the United States, Canada, Argentina and many other countries are showing a very good interest in the "Gentleman's" sport, Cricket. Many European and African countries like Poland, Zambia, Germany, Morocco, Zambia and a lot of countries are taking this sport as a profession. These countries are doing well and also working hard to make some mark in Cricket.

But the progress of Asian countries in the past 10-15 years is unmatchable. Asia is becoming a cricket giant at a very rapid pace. A lot of success stories came from Asia in the last few years. Afghanistan, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Oman and many other Asian countries are doing a great job.  Recently, Afghanistan and Nepal made headlines in Cricket.

So here we are going to look at,

"How Cricket in Asia is creating headlines?"

In the late 20th century, only 3 Asian countries were known for their cricket i.e., India, Pakistan and SriLanka. Then Came Bangladesh, who started their journey in the late 20th century. Love and Passion for cricket in Bangladesh are really unmatchable and commendable. Their entry bought some spark in Asia cup tournament. After almost a decade of below average cricket by Bangladesh suddenly changed and they started winning matches against stronger and well-experienced sides. They came a long way now. They are a regular participant of Asia cup and doing very well.

These 4 countries started their cricketing journey in the 20th century. But this is the 21st century, we have to look at the latest entries i.e., Afghanistan and Nepal. So here we go;

From a war-torn country to a cricket playing nation, "Afghanistan" found a way of life in Cricket. Their brilliant show in limited overs cricket earned them test call. They played their first test against India in June 2018. They lost their first test match against world no.1 test side, but their approach and passion towards cricket will surely take them to some another level.

Look at the journey of Afghanistan:- How Cricket changed the lives in Afghanistan?

After Afghanistan, now its time for "Nepal". A very small and beautiful country situated in the lap of Himalaya. They recently made their ODI debut against an experienced European side, Netherland. They lost their historic match but held their nerves and managed to pull off a thrilling win in 2nd ODI. They showed character and temperament. Their intentions are clear, they are here to prove themselves on the cricket pitch. Now they have to do a great hard work to compete against well settled cricketing nations and make their mark at the international level. They have a great pool of young talented cricketers like Sandeep Lamichane, who also played in the IPL2018. Nepal's next challenge will be Asia Cup qualifiers where they have to compete against teams like Saudi Arabia & Oman. Hope they will clear this challenge with flying colours.
